Art, edu and social practice
This exhibition is part of a research project that explores the relationship between artistic practice and teaching within the field of Visual Arts, understanding that these are not limited to the transmission of technical knowledge, but rather generate meaningful experiences capable of transforming individuals and communities. It argues that art constitutes a tool for critical thinking and social transformation, emphasizing the need to make visible how these experiences transcend academic contexts and become processes of personal and collective impact.
The findings revealed that artistic practices generate experiences linked to emotional well-being, creativity, and identity construction, extending beyond the classroom into processes of critical reflection, social cohesion, and the production of artworks with both pedagogical and artistic value.
In conclusion, art in education is consolidated as a transformative space capable of shaping citizens who are more sensitive, critical, and engaged with their surroundings. The meaningful experiences derived from artistic-teaching practices are confirmed as vehicles for personal and social transformation, while the resulting works function as affective and cultural archives with lasting impact.
